At a Glance

During the summer months, the Chicago Department of Family and Support Services operates six Cooling Centers located inside of the City’s Community Service Centers. During the winter, the cooling centers serve as warming centers. Communications and outreach are directly geared towards reaching senior citizens and other vulnerable residents.
