Testing for Lead in Schools - Indiana Statewide Program
Indianapolis , IN , United States
At a Glance: When the Indiana Finance Authority and Indiana Department of Environmental Management wanted to provide free lead testing to all public schools in Indiana, they turned to 120WaterAudit's software, point-of-use testing kits, and managed services in order to gain insight and execute the program at scale.
The challenges this project addresses are: Transparency, Water Quality, Public Safety
The IFA’s primary objectives were to develop a uniform testing method, handle the field testing scheduling, and to provide real-time data through the software platform resulting in easily accessible snapshots of progress. The state also wanted to enable quick remediation decisions when fixtures (water fountains) in school buildings exceeded lead action levels.
The State of Indiana used/is using 120WaterAudit's software, point-of-use testing kits, and managed services to address this/these challenge(s).

The state publicized the program to all public schools and encouraged enrollment while 120WaterAudit configured a cloud-based platform that managed the execution of the program, facilitated lab coordination, and centralized the test results providing quick access to the dashboards and reports needed to effectively communicate with the public, and take action when deemed necessary.
