Transportation Incident Management Center (TiMC)

San José's Transportation Incident Management Center (TiMC) enhances the city's ability to manage its transportation facilities. The TiMC improves mobility along the region's highways and major arterial by integrating arterial and freeway management services across Santa Clara County and its neighboring gateway jurisdictions; provides a central location for real time travel information dissemination as well as incident and emergency response coordination; provides access to data and video from San José traffic management field devices. Incident data from 511include those entered in the California Highway Patrol's computer-aided dispatch system. Such information enables traffic operations personnel to respond rapidly and effectively to events that disrupt travel or threaten the safety of travelers.
